5 Easy Hijab Styles for University and Work

Busy mornings call for hijab styles that look polished, stay in place and don't take ten attempts. These five work with most of our hijabs, especially plain georgette.

Before you start: wear a soft tie cap or a 4-in-1 tube band underneath. It keeps your hair neat and gives the hijab something to grip, so it won't slide back.

1. The classic wrap

Drape the hijab with one side longer. Secure under the chin, then bring the longer side around the head and fasten at the side. Neat, simple and perfect for the office.

2. The simple drape

Place the hijab evenly, pin or magnet it under the chin, and let both ends fall loosely at the front. Flip one end over the shoulder for a relaxed university look.

3. The pleated front

Make two or three small pleats at the forehead before securing under the chin. It adds structure and keeps the shape all day. Georgette holds pleats especially well.

4. The tucked style

Wrap as usual, then tuck the ends neatly into the neckline or under your abaya. Great for labs, commuting or anywhere loose ends get in the way.

5. The no-pin magnet style

Use a hijab magnet under the chin and another at the shoulder instead of pins. Fast to put on, easy to adjust, and kind to delicate fabric.

Colours that go with everything

For work and university, neutral shades like black, beige, navy, charcoal grey and off-white match almost every outfit. Build a set of everyday colours with our bundle builder: buy 3 or more hijabs and save automatically.
