Ordering an abaya online is easy once you know one thing: in Pakistan, abaya sizes are lengths. A size 54 abaya is about 54 inches long, measured from the top of the shoulder to the hem. Width is usually generous and flowy, so length is what really decides the fit.

How to measure yourself
- Stand straight, barefoot, against a wall.
- Ask someone to measure from the top of your shoulder (where the shoulder seam would sit, next to your neck) straight down to the floor.
- Subtract 1 to 2 inches if you like your abaya to just skim the floor in flat shoes, or keep the full number if you usually wear heels.
That number, in inches, is your abaya size.

Tips for the perfect fall
- Between two sizes? Choose the longer one if you wear heels or like a fuller, floor-skimming look, and the shorter one for everyday wear and walking.
- Front-open abayas like our everyday abayas are forgiving in length because they move with you.
- Embroidered and stone work hems look best when they don't drag, so don't go too long on stone work abayas.
